About Me

Andrea is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and owner of Rising Roots Nutrition. She started her business after years of struggling with her own health issues, like digestion problems, anxiety and thyroid-related issues, and not feeling heard or supported by doctors. After what felt like a long and lonely road of doing her own research, she learned how to heal her body through whole foods and clean living! She has since been passionate about helping others get to the root cause of their symptoms to regain energy, lose weight and banish brain fog for good! She does this through 1:1 consulting and functional lab tests and group coaching to motivate, support and empower her clients to reclaim their health and find joy again!


With extensive experience teaching her 5-week sugar detox program, she saw that so people loved the program but struggled with creating easy meals that were both nourishing and family-friendly, without leaving them deprived. 


Andrea's aunt, Zuzana, joined this sugar detox class to boost her energy, reduce inflammation, and just generally feel better. But, she quickly realized the recipes were a bit too limiting. So, Zuzana started whipping up some tasty recipes that fit the detox rules. She shared these ideas with Andrea, and that's when the lightbulb moment happened! After lots of recipe testing, they put together a cookbook so that everyone could enjoy cooking without all that extra sugar.
